    Description

The Arizona Kid (Republic, 1939). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Roy Rogers, the King of the Cowboys, had been gradually rising to prominence in the B Western genre since 1935, and by 1939, was a certified star of the silver screen. This stunning one sheet has long been considered the best poster ever created for the singing troubadour of the plains. George 'Gabby' Hayes reprises his role as Rogers' usual sidekick and of course Roy co-stars with the "Smartest Horse in the Movies", Trigger. Directed by Joseph Kane. The poster has had professional restoration to correct for some minor wear to the vertical fold line and some chipping in the upper edge of the poster. It is now extremely presentable.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
