Description

Terry and the Pirates (Columbia, 1940). Stock One Sheet (27" X 41").
The spirit of this exciting jungle serial is perfectly captured on this gorgeous one sheet. William Terry and Granville Owen are seen with their guns drawn, ready for anything, as a sword wielding woman, cleaver handling henchman, and roaring tiger seem to represent the arduous journey the two adventurers have ahead. Terry is Pat, a young man who travels to Africa in order to rescue his lost father, who has become lost while trying to find the remains of a lost civilization. This stunning stock sheet is rare, and highly sought after by serial collectors. Prior to restoration, the poster had tears in the bottom and left borders, a tear above "Columbia" near the lower credit area, cross fold separation with minor loss, chips in the left border, and paper loss in the lower right corner. Touch-up work has been done to the folds. Fine+ on Linen.
