Robin Hood (United Artists, 1922). Lobby Card Set (8) (11" X 14"). This was Douglas Fairbanks' biggest and most lavish production of the silent era. Fairbanks and his wife Mary Pickford, began this big-budget medieval pageantry by constructing a near-lifesized replica of a 12th century Nottingham castle! Known as the original swashbuckler, Fairbanks was at his acrobatic best, sliding down a two-story tapestry during one of the films climatic moments. Offered here is a rare, full lobby set for this wonderful silent era production. Seldom do entire lobby sets from these classic silent films appear and one usually has to piece the set together over a number of years. Very Fine.
