    Sullivan's Travels (Paramount, 1941). Fine+. Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
    Now considered to be one of Preston Sturges' best productions, this ironic satire pokes fun at the movie industry and what defines a film as "important," as well as the sheltered outlook held by some of the fortunate inhabitants of Hollywood's upper class. Though Joel McCrea is without a doubt the main protagonist of the story and has top billing in all of the advertisements, most of the posters feature a young, virtually unknown Veronica Lake front and center, despite this being her first role not only as a lead actress, but in her first credited role using her stage name. Only offered once before at Heritage, this is a very rare complete lobby card set for a fan favorite title. General signs of wear include slight edge wear, pinholes, mild creases, as well as unobtrusive stains and smudges. One of the cards has staining in the interior, a few have surface scratches, and a couple of the cards have minor paper lifts. All of the cards have ink censorship stamps in the left borders. Fine+.
