    Description

    Stolen Honor (Fox, 1918). Six Sheet (80" X 82")
Richard Stanton directs silent stars Virginia Pearson and Clay Clemont in this early tale of an independent woman pursuing a career of an artist, suddenly framed for the theft of a valuable Italian painting. Fox cast Pearson in several seductive vamp roles, branching out after the breakaway success of their scintillating star Theda Bara. Pearson eventually left the studio and her alluring persona behind to join Universal studios, where she notably played the role of the operatic prima donna Carlotta in the acclaimed 1925 Phantom of the Opera. This beautiful stone litho poster features a vibrant and detailed look at a suspenseful scene, and shows thin horizontal creasing, small tears in the edges of the panels, some fold wear with separations and chips in the vertical folds, edge wear in the upper panels with minor paper loss, one tear each in the left upper and lower right borders, and a dust shadow in the upper border. There is staining in the borders and some panels have staining along the vertical folds of the interior. Folded, Fine+.
