    Description

Star Trek: Deep Space 9, Cardassia Prime (Paramount, 1990s). Very Fine. Screen-Used Original Matte Painting on Board (78.5" X 38.5") DS.
Never before offered at Heritage, the front of this double-sided piece has a matte painting of the hostile alien planet Cardassia Prime from Star Trek: Deep Space 9, used in multiplane motion control shots in conjunction with a glass foreground painting and a miniature for a forced perspective effect. The verso has a painted image of a night sky with oil wells in the distance from the 1995 Warner Bros. movie The Stars Fell on Henrietta. Signs of handling include scuffs, minor surface lifts, and scratches. Most of these issues are present on the verso side of the piece, leaving the image of Cardassia Prime with very little wear. Due to the size/weight of this lot, shipping costs may be higher than usual.
