    Description

    Stagecoach (United Artists, 1939). Fine/Very Fine. Autographed Lobby Card (11" X 14").
This seminal Western, directed by John Ford, stars John Wayne in his breakout role as the Ringo Kid, and Claire Trevor as Dallas, a woman with a past. The stars are joined on their fateful stagecoach journey by a grand cast of characters including Thomas Mitchell, John Carradine, Andy Devine, and George Bancroft. This is one of only two cards in the set to picture Wayne. Extra added attraction on this card - it has been signed by John Wayne and Andy Devine! Obviously Devine signed the card first as Wayne writes, "Andy - Where's the horses? John Wayne" below that: "Hi Andy Devine - Buck." Buck was Devine's character name in the film. This card comes with a Heritage COA for proof of authenticity of the autographs as Wayne was and is a big favorite of forgers in the last thirty years! There are pinholes around the card and a small tear on the right border, which have been restored. This is a very rare card for a classic film!
