DescriptionStagecoach (Union Film, R-1950). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Italian Locandina (13" X 27.5") Anselmo Ballester Artwork.
John Wayne stars in John Ford's epic Western about a simple stagecoach ride suddenly beset by Geronimo and his hordes. This classic film was re-released in Italy in 1950, when it was promoted with this stunning poster featuring artwork by the legendary Anselmo Ballester. Light partial touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes, and a few small chips and tears. There was a tear from John Carradine's credit to the "O" in "Rosse." Some of these issues are still visible, as are an unaddressed tax stamp and an ink stamp in the imprint area.
Estimate: $4,000 - $8,000.
