The Endless Summer (Bruce Brown Films, 1966). Poster (11" X 17") John Van Hamersveld Artwork.Bruce Brown had been shooting surfing documentaries for eight years when he got the idea to take two friends, Michael Hynson and Robert August, and follow summertime around the globe. Along the way, they discovered things about themselves, found the "perfect wave" in South Africa and ended up making the perfect surfing film. This special poster, produced before the soon-to-be legendary surfing documentary was picked up for worldwide distribution by Cinema V, was used to promote the film on high school and college campuses. This particular copy was for a showing at Hoover High School in San Diego that was attended by Brown himself. The poster is in exceptional condition, and only shows the expected signs of aging. Artwork by John Van Hamersveld, who did album covers for the Beatles (Magical Mystery Tour) and the Rolling Stones (Exile on Main St.). Rolled, Near Mint.
