The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings (Universal, 1976). Very Fine+. Signed Original Mixed Media Concept Artworks on Acetate by Peter Green (2) (24" X 18.75" & 23.5" X 31.5") & Original Mixed Media Concept Artwork on Illustration Board (24" X 36").
Bright, fun, and in excellent condition, these original artworks are making their first appearances at Heritage Auctions. The two caricature pieces painted on acetate, close concept artworks for the picture's final poster, feature signed illustrations by poster artist Peter Green. The artist for the more realistic piece on board is unfortunate;y unknown, but captures the madcap energy of the barnstorming baseball team very well with a few of the player's gags visible in the background. The artworks on acetate show mild creases as well as unobtrusive stains and smudges, some of which were most likely from the production process. The piece on illustration board has slight edge wear, unobtrusive stains and smudges, a paper lift along the top edge, as well as some strips of paper tape on the verso. The larger acetate work has strips of cellophane tape at the top edge. Due to the size/weight of this lot, shipping costs may be higher than usual.
