Rocky (United Artists, 1977). Half Sheet (27" X 41") and Lobby Card Set (8) (11" X 14"). Rocky Balboa, a self proclaimed "bum" from the streets of Philadelphia, is a nickel and dime club fighter who works for a local loan shark to survive. By a freakish turn of fate, Balboa is given a million-to-one shot at boxing's greatest prize, the heavyweight championship of the world. Sylvester Stallone was relatively unknown when United Artists bought the rights to his screenplay and cast him as the lead. "Rocky" went on to win several Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and made Stallone a superstar. The Half Sheet has light smudges, one 2" tear on the right border and would grade Very Fine-. The Lobby Card Set is in excellent condition and would grade Near Mint/Mint.
