    Joe Louis Photo Lot (1950s/1960s). Overall: Fine/Very Fine. Photos (2) (7" X 9" & 8" X 10") & Linen-Backed Keybook Photo (8" X 10"). Sports.
    Offered in this lot are vintage silver gelatin, single weight, glossy finish photos featuring boxer Joe Louis. Included is a photo from 1950 of Joe Louis posing with Sugar Ray Robinson and Primo Carnera while training for his return to the ring in a match against Ezzard Charles, a linen-backed keybook photo from The Square Jungle (Universal International, 1955) showing Joe Louis posing with actors Tony Curtis and John Day, and an undated photo showing Joe Louis after retiring from the ring. Unrestored photos that display signs of use. May include light edge wear, surface scuffs and indentations, creases, slight checking, or unobtrusive smudges and surface blemishes. The undated photo has a soft vertical fold and some ink writing in the border and on the verso. The keybook photo has a paper snipe on the verso attached with adhesive.
