    Description

Holyfield/Tyson at Caesars Palace (TVKO, 1991). Autographed Boxing Poster (22" X 28"). Sports.
Offered is an autographed poster for a World Boxing Association Heavyweight Championship title fight between the reigning champ Evander Holyfield, and challenger Mike Tyson, who had had the belt himself up until the previous year, when he handed it to James "Buster" Douglas in the first loss of his career. This piece announces a November, 8th 1991 fight at Caesars Palace, which ended up being called off due to a thumb injury on Tyson's part. The two would not have the opportunity to meet in the ring until November of 1996 (a.k.a. the "Finally" match), when Holyfield won an upset victory after eleven brutal rounds. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may show general indications of use, such as slight edge wear, light creases, small surface scuffs, or very minor tears. The poster has been signed "Evander Holyfield - Phil[lipians] 4:13" and "Mike Tyson." Heritage Auctions believes these signatures to be authentic, but please know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided. See full-color, enlargeable image above for more details. Rolled, Very Fine.
