    Description

Bobby Shantz (RKO, 1952). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Little Bobby Shantz stood only 5'6" and weighed 139 pounds when he made his major league debut, winning a 13-inning game in relief, pitching nine hitless innings while only giving up one run and two hits. Shantz would go on to play 16 years in the majors. His best year was 1952 with a win-loss record of 24-7 that won him the honors of MVP for the league, a feat he accomplished while playing on a fifth-place team. Ted Williams often said Shantz had the best curveball he had ever seen. This poster has light smudge marks and a touch of separation at the fold line intersections. Here's an opportunity to acquire a rare one sheet featuring one of baseball's best. Very Fine/Near Mint.
