Ali vs. Quarry Fight Poster (Sports Action, Inc., 1970). Poster (40" X 57").
During his forced exile from boxing as a contentious objector to the Vietnam war even Muhammad Ali had doubted that he would enter the ring again. Jerry Quarry was an up and coming heavyweight contender and a formidable opponent and was the only ranked heavyweight willing to meet the former champion. In Atlanta on October 26, 1970, Ali would beat Quarry in his first of two fights with the young contender. Offered in this lot is a very rare poster for the closed circuit television, live presentation of the fight. The poster is printed in two pieces and has minimal fold wear. Very Fine.
