1939 International University Games (Vienna) (1939). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. Full-Bleed Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5") Hœzlz Rehm Artwork.
Originally, Vienna was to be the official venue of the 1939 Summer International University Games, but the organizing Confederation Internationale des Etudiants moved the competition to Monte Carlo after Germany's annexation of Austria. So, 1939 saw two sets of nearly identical sports competitions with the same name, one in Monte Carlo comprised mainly of teams from Allied nations, and another in the original Vienna venue with mostly Axis-friendly countries in attendance. Printed in shimmering gold ink, this Heritage first shows slight edge wear, creases, minor tears, and image shadowing in the background. There are a few surface scratches with light touchup applied, and some of the wear has been braced with strips and pieces of paper adhered to the verso.

    Estimate: $400 - $800.
