    Description

Spooks Run Wild (Monogram, 1941). Very Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (41.5" X 78.75").
The first of two Monogram spook comedies that featured the East Side Kids tangling with Bela Lugosi, this time in an old country mansion. Lugosi gives every impression of being a vampire and the kids are sure he is the "Monster Killer" they've been warned about. An interesting side note is that the Kids refer to Lugosi as "vulture" instead of "vampire" throughout the film because Monogram didn't want to infringe on Universal's rights to Dracula. An excellent opportunity for Lugosi fans, this poster is making its first appearance at Heritage and we are unaware of any other copies of this very scarce format being auctioned. Light touchup has been applied to address slight edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, pinholes, and a few small tears, in addition to a moderate tear in Lugosi's coat. Some of these issues are still slightly visible, as are very faint smudges in the lower part of the poster. From the Theaters of Old Detroit Collection. Very Fine on Linen.
