    Description

Spellbound (United Artists, 1945). Very Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Among the greatest thrillers ever filmed, Alfred Hitchcock's study of psychoanalysis and murder comes packaged as a tautly paced-picture, showcasing incredible performances from stars Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck. The former plays an icy therapist at a mental asylum, while the latter portrays the new and surprisingly inept director of the institution. From there, it's a wild ride of twists and turns, intercut with a surreal dream sequence courtesy of Salvador Dali himself, culminating in a mesmerizing classic. With all of this, of course original one sheets for the title are favored collectibles, no less so for the poster's eye-catching and nuanced image. This evocative one sheet had pinholes in the corners, a small chip in the top left corner, and a minor chip in Bergman's eye, all of which have been addressed with professional restoration and the borders have been airbrushed. A great sheet for one of the master's best films.
