    Description

Soviet Propaganda Poster (1955). Rolled, Fine+. USSR Poster (26" X 38.25") "Long Live Peace!" N. Tereshenko Artwork. Foreign.
Offered in this lot is a rather domestic poster featuring the warming image of a mother and her child together, as she embroiders a Communist flag that boasts the words "Long Live Peace!" During the mid 1950s, the USSR was attempting to bolster the Communist Party within their satellite states, and thus required the renewed efforts of colorful, touching propaganda posters to reach the masses. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge wear, creases, pinholes including torn pinholes, tears, mild surface scuffs, minor paper lifts, or stains/smudges. There are several strips of paper and archival tape bracing tears on the verso.
