    Description

Son of Kong (RKO, 1933). Window Card (14" X 22"). Wanting to immediately cash in on its blockbuster hit "King Kong," RKO immediatly went into production on a sequel. "Son of Kong" begins where "King Kong" left off as entrepreneur Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) and his partner Captain Englehorn (Frank Reicher) return to Skull Island and discover a lovable 12-foot high "little" Kong. Offered in this lot is is one of a small group of window cards found from this scarce title. This card is in spectacular condition and has been professionally rebacked. The card had a couple of tack holes in the upper imprint area as well as a small hole (pencil erasure size) in the orange background above 'New Thrills!" There was a small nick within the "G" and a small tack hole was repaired in the lower left corner of the image within the grass and another small hole repaired in the lower right credit box within "Producer." There has been some slight air-brush work done in the borders. The description makes this card sound much worse than it is and the card is one of the better copies we have ever seen. There has been no great amount of repair done anywhere in this card. What a wonderful addition this would make to any horror fan's collection. Very Fine on Cardstock.
