Son of Kong (RKO, 1933). British Six Sheet (81" X 87.5").
Picking up where the classic King Kong left off, producer and showman Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) finds himself the subject of numerous lawsuits in the wake of Kong's destruction of New York City. To escape the suits, Denham takes off with the captain of the Venture and decides to head back to Skull Island where they are convinced they will find a secret treasure. Stowing away on the ship is a young woman named Hilda (Helen Mack). By accident, they do find a treasure, but of more interest, they find a small albino version of Kong that Denham names Little Kong. This vibrant British poster hones in on the film's more lighthearted tone, focusing on the hijinx of their new hirsute hero. This Heritage first has restoration to fold wear, pinholes, tears, and some paper loss in the borders and interior. There is touchup to an ink stamp and writing in the lower corners and to an ink censorship stamp in the image. Some of these issues are still visible, as well as some unaddressed smudging, and the yellow background has printing irregularities. Fine+ on Linen.
