    Description

Son of Dracula (Universal, 1943). One Sheet (27" X 41").
A ghastly green light illuminates the encroaching, bloodthirsty Lon Chaney Jr. as the mysterious Count Alucard, a Budapest nobleman who relocates to the American South. There, he takes a bride, a lovely student of the occult, Katherine (Louise Allbritton). When friends notice that Katherine is acting strangely, they discover to their horror that Alucard is actually the son of the infamous vampire, Count Dracula. The third installment in Universal's Dracula franchise, this is the first film to show the vampire transforming into a bat. There has been some restoration to address mild tears in the upper borders that extend into the background with small chips, small tears in Lon Chaney's chin and shoulder, and minor touchup to the folds. The poster still shows pinholes in the image corners and along the upper border, as well as some surface paper loss in the vertical borders and lower right corner. The linen has been trimmed to the borders and there is a printing irregularity in the upper left corner. From the Collection of Lynn Naron. Very Fine- on Linen.
