    Description

Some Like It Hot (United Artists, 1959). Poster (40" X 60") Style Z.
Billy Wilder's classic 1950s comedy stars Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon as two musicians who witness a mob hit and masquerade as women to avoid getting murdered themselves. Marilyn Monroe adds her irresistible allure as the boys fall in love with her and compete for her attention. The film won an Oscar for costume design and was nominated for five others. This poster is one of the most elusive for the title and certainly one of the hottest with its sizzling orange background and saucy pose of the fabulous Ms. Monroe. In fantastic condition for a poster this age and size, it only shows some edge wear including wrinkling in the left border, two tears in the top border, one of which extends slightly into the credits, paper tape on the verso, and light surface spotting in the left background. Unrestored! Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
