Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (RKO, 1937). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
As the first animated feature film from Walt Disney, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs set an amazing precedent for Disney, holding the record for the highest-grossing sound film, animated or otherwise, for a short time. The film adapts the classic German fairy tale "Snow White" by the Brothers Grimm, and it is by far the most beloved adaptation of the story. This poster from the original release of the film highlights the seven dwarfs who quickly became iconic characters with memorable sequences and songs from the film including "Heigh-Ho." Backed on linen, restoration has addressed edge and fold wear, pinholes, creases, tears, fold separations, and small chips. There was a bit of missing paper replaced in Sleepy's beard, and there was a tear on the bottom edge of the poster that extended through the left side of Doc's beard. The borders and background area have been airbrushed, and the poster displays well after the restoration it has received.

    Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
