    Description

Silly Symphony (United Artists, 1934). Fine+ on Linen. Stock One Sheet (27.25" X 41").
For animation poster collectors, this fun loving poster should be a top choice. It's unique in that due to the Depression and in an attempt to cut back expenses, United Artists shifted to a "stock" one sheet format, a first for the studio. Even more special is the fact that it features Walt Disney's Donald Duck with his original long duckbill. This is one of the first appearances of the world famous duck on any poster! Not seen often at auction, the poster is in excellent condition for its age. Professional restoration has addressed fold wear and separation, pinholes, and some small chips and tears. The side borders were once trimmed to the edge of the printing but have been replaced, and the top and bottom borders have been airbrushed.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
