DescriptionShow Boat (Universal, 1936). Folded, Very Fine+. Full-Bleed Swedish Poster (35" X 47") Fuchs Artwork.
Offered at Heritage for only the second time (and the first time in over fifteen years) is this colorful Swedish poster for the 1936 Universal production of Show Boat. The film was directed by James Whale, and it stars Irene Dunne, Allan Jones, and Paul Robeson, all of who can be seen on this poster. The film is based on the musical of the same name, and it features several actors reprising their role from the stage including Dunne and Robeson, as well as members of the original stage cast including Charles Winninger and Helen Morgan. The stone litho poster offered here is in great condition, showing light edge and fold wear, minor creases, and small fold separations.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
