The Oyster Dredger (Universal Moving Pictures, 1915). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.75" X 41.5").
Lon Chaney would reach the top of his profession as an actor by the mid 1920s, yet little know is that he was an aspiring director as well. In 1915 he directed some six short subjects that we are aware of. The earliest ones, such as this film, starred his friend J. Walter Kerrigan, with Chaney in a supporting role. Later in this year, Chaney would take the lead in his self directed shorts. This is a Heritage first time offer of this scarce poster from a Lon Chaney directed short subject. Although backed, this poster has not received touchup to slight fold wear and separations, minor tears, as well as a couple of gouges below Lon Chaney's credit. The lower border is a bit rough and uneven. The side borders appear to have been folded over, one side folded to the front and the other to the back.
