Pathe News (RKO, 1945). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Newsreel Stock One Sheet (27" X 41") Vol. 17, No. 79, "Plane Hits N.Y. Skyscraper." Short Subject.
Offered in this lot is a stock one sheet for the 79th issue from volume 17 of RKO's Pathe News newsreel series, which covered the July 28, 1945 crash of a U.S. Air Force B-25 Mitchell bomber into the 40 Wall Street Building in New York City, now the Trump Building. The accident killed 14 people, including all the members of the flight and eleven civilians in the building, though the 40 Wall Street Building would reopen the following Monday on most every other floor outside of the War Relief Services and National Catholic Welfare Council's departments. An unrestored poster that displays signs of use. It may include light edge or fold wear, slight fold separations, pinholes, minute tears, mild creases, and soft smudges.
