DescriptionSherlock Holmes in Washington (Universal, 1943). Folded, Fine+. Three Sheet (41" X 79").
This installment of Universal's Sherlock Holmes series finds the super sleuth (Basil Rathbone) and Doctor Watson (Nigel Bruce) in Washington D.C. intent on preventing a secret document from falling into enemy hands. Roy William Neill directs and Marjorie Lord, George Zucco, and Henry Daniell provide supporting talent. Indications of usage include edge and fold wear, moderate fold separations, pinholes, and creasing. There are small tears at the edges, in addition to a few tears in the printing, chips at the borders and folds, as well as slight surface rippling. Also visible are minor paper lifts and some stains. The verso has strips of paper tape bracing a few of the tears and folds.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
