    Description

Sherlock Holmes (Fox, 1933). Rolled, Very Fine-. Swedish One Sheet (27.75" X 39.5").
Released in the USA in late 1932, this film with Clive Brook as Conan Doyle's master sleuth didn't get released in Sweden until the following year. Featured front and center on the poster is an intense image of Brook as Holmes, smoking his favorite pipe as he takes on the case of Professor Moriarty, who has just escaped prison and sworn revenge on his nemesis. While posters for the Basil Rathbone series turn up with some frequency, the posters for the Clive Brook series are rarely offered. Signs of handling include edge wear, mild creasing, and small tears. There are also a few mild tears into the background, one of which has archival tape on the verso. Rolled, Very Fine-.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
