Description

Sherlock Holmes Faces Death (Universal, 1943). Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Several murders have taken place at a convalescent home where Dr. Watson (Nigel Bruce) works as a volunteer, forcing the good doctor to call upon Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) and his illuminating detective skills. Some fans hold this Holmes entry as their favorite of the Universal series, and are always on the lookout for paper like this rare half sheet. Showcasing a great portrait shot of our three leads, this poster shows edge wear, creasing, tears in the borders, unobtrusive stains, and smudging. There is a tear from the left border slightly into the image area with paper tape on the verso. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
