Shane (Paramount, 1953). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (26.75" X 41.25"). Ercole Brini Artwork.
George Stevens crafted this iconic Western like no other, with Alan Ladd, the mysterious Shane, fighting reluctantly for the rights of the common man. Jack Palance shines as the snarling gunfighter who takes on Shane. This true Western classic closes with one of the best ending lines in cinema history, the now-legendary "Come back, Shane... Mother wants you...," echoing endlessly in the mountains into which Shane disappears. Ercole Brini 's artwork of the major characters is superb. In particular, the artist captured the gentle blue eyes of Brandon De Wilde that perfectly convey the youthful and innocent nature of his character. Professional restoration has corrected edge and fold wear, fold separations, thin creases, and minor tears. Also addressed was some chipping in the folds, especially at the top of the vertical fold. The borders have been mostly airbrushed.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
