    Description

Shadow of a Doubt (Universal, 1943). Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style C.
In this top Alfred Hitchcock suspense classic, Teresa Wright idol worships her Uncle Charlie (Joseph Cotten), yet she slowly becomes suspicious of his activities when he comes to visit her family in a quiet small town. Hitchcock considered this one of the favorite films of his catalog. A suspense classic, this film's posters are a hit with collectors, including this style C one sheet with its shadowy imagery and closeup of Wright. Professional restoration has addressed edge and fold wear, fold separations, pinholes, and mild creases. There were some tears into the interior, surface scratches, as well as scattered bits of paper loss in the printing. The upper right corner has been reattached and the poster's borders were once trimmed. The borders and parts of the background have been airbrushed and the lower right border has a post-restoration smudge. Fine- on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
