    Description

Tarzan the Fearless (Principal Distributing, 1933). One Sheet (27" X 41") Chapter 5 -- "Blood Money."
Following the rampant success of Johnny Weissmuller in Tarzan the Ape Man the previous year, Buster Crabbe tried his hand at portraying Edgar Rice Burroughs' most famous character. He had caught the eye of producer Sol Lesser while playing Kapsa the Lion Man in King of the Jungle, which was Paramount's attempt to cash in on the new Tarzan craze. Making its Heritage debut, this stone litho one sheet has touchup partially applied to the folds, pinholes into the interior, tears, and chipping in the borders and folds. There were a couple of surface scratches above the image and there is touchup also in the title. Unaddressed and post-restoration wear includes a chip in the lower vertical fold, staining, toning, and color fading. The poster is beginning to separate from the masa paper in a few places. Very Good/Fine on Linen.
