    Spy Smasher (Republic, 1942). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
Alan Armstrong (AKA the Spy Smasher) comes to the defense of his country against evil Nazi saboteurs in this exciting serial from Republic. Other than Captain Marvel, this was Fawcett Comics' best and most timely character, as the the U.S. had just entered WW II. He didn't need super-powers as this poster can attest. He waged his own personal war on the Nazis through twelve exciting chapters. The poster offered here promises all of the nail-biting action that audiences can expect to see onscreen. This is the incredibly rare three sheet and is a first time offer from Heritage. The poster has had airbrushing in all the borders due to pinholes, minor tears and some chipping. There were some tears within the image and some small holes in the Spy Smasher's cape and the motorcycle he's riding at the bottom, in the blue background just above the title, and along some of the lower vertical folds. These were all rather minor and have been addressed through restoration. The poster now appears very presentable. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
