Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (Universal, 1940). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Buster Crabbe and crew take their final turn in the last of the three "Flash Gordon" serials. Once again, Ming the Merciless is menacing the Earth, this time with "The Purple Death." Posters from the "Flash Gordon" series are some of the toughest to find in the serial genre. Universal released posters in duotone for almost all of the chapters, but often the stock poster was created in full color. This one has fabulous artwork as well. These posters are exceedingly rare and usually command a premium price. There are pin holes, edge tears along the bottom, fold wear with separations, and scuffs where tape has been removed on the back. The poster has an older restoration and is mounted on linen, giving it a very nice appearance. Very Fine- on Linen.Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details.
