Atom Man vs. Superman (Columbia, 1950). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
If you've waited patiently for one of the best vintage "Superman" poster images ever...wait no more! Here's the elusive three sheet for the second serial, so ardently sought for by many collectors, since the film's release. It was supposed to be displayed before the fifteen chapter serial began at theatres, to build interest. But many smaller theatres didn't purchase the poster, opting instead to wait for the individual chapter title one sheets. Thus, given the normal attrition rate of larger paper, the poster was always in short supply, even in the 1950s! It features a spectacular image of Superman in a full 2/3rd's of the poster with the evil Lex Luthor disguised as "Atom Man" beaming his Empty Doom Projector at our caped hero. Mount this one on your movie room wall, flanked by a couple of Superman comics in book mats, and charge admission! This beauty has been superbly linenbacked, but needed very minimal restoration added. There was only very minor fold wear in the bottom panel, and a minor chip in the bottom border.
