Atom Man vs. Superman (Columbia, 1950). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
This 15-chapter Columbia Pictures sequel to the 1948 Superman serial, stars Kirk Alyn as Superman and Noel Neill as Lois Lane. In this serial entry, Superman faces his most cunning adversary yet - the criminal mastermind Atom Man, who is revealed to be Lex Luthor in disguise. Atom Man hatches a series of elaborate schemes to gain wealth and power, ending in an exciting climax, in which Superman defeats his frequent nemesis. Backed to linen, restoration has addressed small splits and chips to the borders or corners as well as a 2-inch x .5-inch chip to the left border. There is some touch-up to the black area of the A in Atom, Superman's emblem in his figure at right and the borders have been airbrushed. Additionally, a few tears within the image or background areas have received minute touch-up. Thanks to these efforts the poster displays very nicely.
