DescriptionSerenade (Associated First National Pictures, 1923). Norwegian One Sheet (24.75" X 37") Niels Pedersen Rohder Artwork.
Miriam Cooper is the lovely Spanish senorita Maria, who is in love with the son of the town's governor, Pancho (George Walsh). When the village is captured by brigands, a rival for Maria's affections arrives in the form of the new governor's son. The inevitable duel ensues, but in an unexpected twist, both lives are spared...at least temporarily. This linen-backed, stone litho Norwegian one sheet boasts stunning artwork by Niels Pedersen Rohder (1895-1969), and has received no touchup. Signs of handling include a few mild border tears, creases in the upper border, and a small scratch in the upper background. There is some staining in the top border that extends slightly into the background. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
