    Description

World Without End (Allied Artists, 1956). Six Sheet (81" X 81"). Style B. Alberto Vargas, Esquire and Playboy illustrator, designed the tunics worn by the women in this revision of H.G. Wells's "The Time Machine." To capitalize on the renown of Vargas, Allied Artists created a special six sheet for the advertising campaign which utilized his famous pin-up art. For years, no one had seen the poster except in the pressbook, and many collectors assumed that it had never been produced. Finally, when a six sheet surfaced, Heritage Galleries sold it in an auction three years ago. A few months later, Heritage sold another, so the only one known to be in existence grew to a population of two. Incredibly, a six sheet in even better condition has become available (contrary to the assertions of some skeptics, this poster is not the same poster offered previously), the rare occasion of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presented three times. The poster has just been mounted on linen and undergone minimal repair, only to patch slight fold line separation and a couple of crease marks. Very Fine/Near Mint on Linen.
