Them!, directed by Gordon Douglas, is a science fiction thriller of mammoth proportions that introduced audiences to the terrifying consequences of nuclear radiation by transforming a colony of ants into towering monsters that descend upon Los Angeles. Featuring a strong cast including James Whitmore, Edmund Gwenn, Joan Weldon, and James Arness, the film was originally intended to be shot in color and 3-D, but last-minute budget cuts led to a more modest production, one that nevertheless became a box office sensation and launched the "big bug" craze in Hollywood. Widely regarded as one of the finest entries in the giant mutated monster genre, its iconic one sheet poster, with vivid artwork of the monstrous ants wreaking havoc, remains a standout piece of science fiction memorabilia. A great copy, this specific example shows light edge wear, minor fold wear and creases, pinholes, a few smudges, slight fold separation, a few small chips and tears along the borders/at the corners, gentle sunning along the edges, and subtle darkening due to age.
