    Description

The Lost World (First National, 1925). Window Card (14" X 22").
Horror and science fiction history fans alike know the story of this film well. Penned by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1912, the film features pioneering stop motion special effects by Willis O'Brien, who eight years later would delight the world with King Kong. The film has an all-star cast of the time, including Wallace Beery, Bessie Love and Lewis Stone. Posters for this classic have always been very rare. This wonderful poster, with an image of the massive Tyrannosaurus thundering through London, will please the most discriminating collector. The card was folded just above the name of Doyle, and there was color touch up on the left side around the cast credits up to and below the word "Lost" and just into the lower part of the letter "s." The border and upper white area has been airbrushed. The card has been rebacked with another vintage window card and now displays beautifully. Fine+ on Cardstock.
