    Description

The Day the Earth Stood Still (20th Century Fox, 1951). Fine+. Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
A classic collectible, this title card is one of the must-have items for any science fiction fan. Unlike some of the other advertisements made for the film, the title card from The Day the Earth Stood Still features not just the iconic image of a rampaging Gort and the ominous giant hand but also a shot of Michael Rennie as the alien ambassador Klaatu, a feature many other posters for the film lack. The card displays very well, There is some surface paper loss in the upper left and right corner and well as in the lower border which has eliminated the #1 from the card. The colors are as strong as can be and a very nice example. There are two small rubber stamps on the verso that do not show through.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
