The Day the Earth Stood Still (20th Century Fox, 1951). Fine on Paper. Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Starring Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, Hugh Marlowe, Sam Jaffe, Billy Gray, Frances Bavier, Lock Martin, H.V. Kaltenborn, Elmer Davis, Drew Pearson, Gabriel Heatter. Directed by Robert Wise. A restored poster that displays signs of use. Backed to paper, touch-up has addressed light fold wear, pinholes and small splits to the corners or border areas, a 5-inch tear at lower right and a small hole in the red dress near the right border. There has been tape removal from the verso, small stains and the borders have been airbrushed. The top left corner has a small bend. Thanks to these efforts, the poster displays wonderfully.
