    Description

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (Warner Bros., 1953). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Six Sheet (81" X 78.5").
Presented by Heritage for the first time is this magnificent large format six sheet from a science fiction classic with effects by stop motion creator, Ray Harryhausen! If you are going to own a poster about a giant rampaging Rhedosaurus (a fictional dinosaur) then this giant is the one to have! Its screenplay is based on Ray Bradbury's 1951 short story "The Fog Horn," specifically the scene where a lighthouse is destroyed by the title character. The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms was one of the early atomic monster movies, and it helped inspire a generation of creature features and directly inspired Godzilla! This oversized poster has had restoration to fold wear and separations, pinholes, tears, and chips in the borders and folds, particularly in the lower panels. Unaddressed issues include faint smudges and soft surface scuffs, though these are small issues compared to the grand size of this rare six sheet.
