The Amazing Colossal Man (American International, 1957). Folded, Very Fine+. One Sheet (27" X 41"). Albert Kallis Artwork.
After a military experiment exposes him to a plutonium bomb, Army Major Glenn Manning begins to grow uncontrollably, eventually reaching 60 feet tall. As his size increases, so does his anger and instability, leading to destruction and panic in nearby towns. The film reflects 1950s anxieties about nuclear technology, the unintended consequences of scientific hubris, and the fragility of human control. Its mix of spectacle and moral warning makes it a classic Cold War-era cautionary sci-fi about the dangers lurking within atomic age ambitions. This remarkably clean example is folded as issued and exhibits only corner pinholes and bends on the top and bottom edge. You'd be hard pressed to find a better example of the classic Albert Kallis one sheet.
