Star Wars (20th Century Fox, 1977). Fine. Style A NSS Standee (37" X 58"), Tom Jung Artwork.
This unique and ornate standee was created by the National Screen Service (NSS) for select New York City theaters by mounting a trimmed one-sheet poster, reduced to approximately 25" x 38", onto a vivid yellow and orange background and accenting it with two original 8" x 10" lobby cards. Designed as a colorful and eye-catching lobby display, it demonstrates the unique marketing strategies applied to Star Wars during its earliest days. Exhibits fold wear, edge wear to the standee itself and the lobby cards, chipping, and other signs of age. A scarce item.
