    Description

    Sci-Fi Paperback Lot (1940s-1970s). Paperback Books (37) & Autographed Paperback Book (Multiple Pages, Approx. 4" X 6.5" - 4" X 7.5"). Science Fiction.
From the 1940s to the late 1970s, this is an excellent collection of titles, including The Lost World by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1958), 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke (1968), Metropolis by Thea Von Harbou (1963), The Andromeda Strain (1970), The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury (1951), The Circus of Dr. Lao (1964), Invaders of Earth by Groff Conklin (1962), Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell, Jr. (1955), Deals with the Devil edited by Basil Davenport (1959), an autographed book from The Golden Gryphon Feather by Richard Purtill (1979), and many more. Unrestored paperback books with good color and overall very presentable appearances. They may have edge or spine wear, spine separations, creases and corner bends, tears, surface scuffs and scratches, paper lifts, some paper loss, writing, staining and smudging, mild toning, and/or brittleness. The Golden Gryphon is signed, "Dick Purtill." Heritage Auctions believes the autograph in this lot to be authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided. Please see full-color, enlargeable image above for more details. Fine/Very Fine.
