One of the great science fiction classics, Planet of the Apes features a topsy-turvy world where simians rule and man is a mute beast. Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner (Patton, The Boys from Brazil), from a script by Rod Serling and Michael Wilson, the film is noted for its Oscar-winning make-up, and one of the greatest twist endings in film history. Offered here are the rarely-seen and highly desirable door panels, four in all, which feature stars Charlton Heston, Kim Hunter, Maurice Evans, and Robert Lombardo. Two of the panels, Heston and Lombardo, have slight edge wear, small corner bends, and minor tears. The Hunter and Evans panels have been touched up in the title and in the eyes of each character, and there are pinholes near the edges of the Hunter panel. Two of the posters has a few small pieces of cellophane tape on the verso. Heritage has only offered a complete set of panels twice before, the last time being ten years ago! Rolled, Very Fine.
