Planet of the Apes (20th Century Fox, 1968). Double-Sided Poster (30" X 40").
One of the seminal science fiction films of the 1960s with an excellent cast and a great twist ending, the film would lead to four sequels, two TV series and a 2001 remake. Starring Charlton Heston and an all-star cast. This very rare 30" X 40" poster was presumably made for a roadshow engagement, most likely for a large theater chain that had lighted poster marquees, a very uncommon thing in 1968. Made of a translucent plastic resin, the restoration has addressed chips in the right border, and minor wear in the left border. The interior is well intact with brilliant color. We've never seen nor heard of another copy of this rarity, Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
